Let me start an otherwise sad-ish blog with a funny little story. So today I was talking to my mom about how I want to try and "bring back" certain words that aren't used enough like terrific or jerk or another word which i can't remember which is making me sad, but anyway my mom was like what is it with you young people saying HILARIOUS. I liked died laughing because I am definitely someone who overuses that word, but I don't care I like it. I think it's because hilarious, much like ridiculous are words we can pronounce in a variety of ways. like RA-diculous, REE-diculous, HA-larious, HI-larious etc. So I wanted to share my mom's observation with you because I thought it was HILL-LARIOUS.
Now onto things there are not hilarious. So today was quite an emotional rollercoaster, but I really don't feel like getting into it. Chances are most of you that a reading this prob got phone calls in regards to the drama of today. Thanks to Jeannine we were able to blow off steam at the beach today which was quite fabulous. Iced coffees, a best friend, ocean breeze and the warm sun...it can help most problems.
Anyway one thing I forgot to mention in a earlier blog was that in the next town over they opened a Moe's (a southwest grill that I was introduced to in Auburn, there was one across the street from campus), so tonight after my beach adventure I went to Moe's with my mom. Keep in mind I was wearing my navy camp shirt because I was going through some serious Auburn withdrawals today. So I'm in Moe's and it's weird to be there because it's the same, but different than the one in Auburn. There is soft instrumental music playing as my mom and I eat and talk. So I'm talking to my mom about the times I went to Moe's in Auburn etc, when all of a sudden I hear the all too familiar open chords of Sweet Home Alabama start to play in the restaurant and instantly I start to cry. I couldn't believe it...neither could my mom. Mt first reaction was to cry out of joy and sadness. It was so weird to be AT MOE'S talking about Auburn and have Sweet Home Alabama come on. It was the only real song that played the whole time, the rest of the songs were just instrumental. I still don't know exactly what to think of it. The Auburn peeps that I told about it couldn't believe it...it was really really weird. God I miss Auburn and want to go back. MARK ARMSTRONG I WANT A JOB IN YOUR OFFICE NEXT YEAR...thank you.
